Buying used hooks:
Many front tow hooks that are sold on the used market are sold without mounting hardware. They usually consist of just the tow hook mounted to the eye bracket. In this case, you will need to purchase all of the items below in the quantities shown for the installation. All of the parts needed are pictured in the photo at the top of this page.

For installation of the front hooks, the front fascia must be removed. See fascia removal directions Here. Once the fascia is off, the mounting plate is inserted into the mounting area as shown in the above left photo. The hooks are then attached to the plate from underneath. Using a 15mm socket, install two bolts into the plate and the third into the U-nut. The U-nut is installed into a rectangular opening that is already cut in the frame. Tighten bolts to 54 N·m (40 ft. lbs.) torque. Re-attach the fascia and grille components.
Caution: Tow hooks are for emergency use only, to rescue a vehicle stranded off road. Do not use tow hooks for tow truck hookup or highway towing. You could damage your vehicle. Stand clear of vehicles when pulling with tow hooks. Tow straps and chains may break, causing serious injury.
The mounting location for the rear hook is the same as for the rear trailer hitch receiver, so both of these cannot be installed at the same time. The rear hook is installed in the left rear corner, bolted to the frame. Note: bolts for the rear tow hook should be tightened to 68 N·m (50 ft. lbs.) torque.
